A new work by lowercase sub-unit of SIMcard styleGAN, simcard stylegan, whose members are Aerith Vippman (Aero Viper), Stimmona Appleseed (SteamApps) and Baron Ruben von de Blue (RBL Blue SwagBaron).
This work constitutes the 21st outing overall by Deutsch-via-hallucination and European-via-sixth-generation-immigrant-blood Berlin-based Catacomb Corporation-sponsored "musical music" "tuneful sounds" group SIMcard styleGAN. It is the longest body of work put forth by S.C.S.G. to date.
It takes place at the Château Ætherist in Free Québec on the 2nd Earth (The Deep, our Earth is the Incipient) after the overwhelming success of the Bloc Québécois military's junta seizure of the federal government, backed by the propaganda powerhouse that is Helvetica BQ Regular, a subversive "anti-corporate anti-graphic design" functionary that has operated beside Next Year's Snow since the beginning. The BQ is now understood to stand for Bloc Québécois, and not "oblique", as is standard typefacial parlance.
The recordings presented here do not represent the full picture of the 48 hours that the company we follow stayed at the château, and deliberately omits the speaking roles of some other guests from within the collective, as the mission of lowercase simcard stylegan has always been, quoting Ms. Appleseed, to 'trim the fat' and 'have it just be you and me, Aero.' (It should be noted that I did not perish in the car explosion at the end of the proceedings and have lived to type this.)
We would consider this a rose-tinted glasses presentation of a tense, sometimes tedious, perhaps therapeutic retreat into haunted castles and absorption into perpetually self-displacing history. This is overwhelmingly a dishonest work of nostalgia. More inflammatory remarks from Ms. Mondegreene had to be cut due to it reflecting poorly not only on her character, but on those of Ms. Vippman and Ms. Appleseed as well, who seemed to cheer her on intermittently.
Château Ætherist is the familial, hereditary property of Baron von de Blue, who appears in the semi-biographical role of DJ Soycuck amongst others (understood to be modeled upon one of his more unfortunate uncles who was cut out of the inheritance for zebra-related vices prior to the realization of fondness for cuckoldry). The music was assembled on a return visit in 30 hours confined in the great library surrounded by thousands of rare manuscripts and punctuated by many evaluations of familial jewels. We thank the Baron for hosting us and indulging us.
The resemblance between the Baron and Merle Sunflower both in voice and appearance (although distinctions exist, such as in accent) is understood to be the reason for Mr. Sunflower's hiring, as it is a von de Blue familial superstition that if you encounter your own doppelganger, you must put him to work and you must keep a close eye on him, or else he will replace you; the more he pretends to be you, the less everybody around you is convinced that you are the real you. Mr. Sunflower is not the first doppelganger to be kept on von de Blue payroll and certainly will not be the last.
The Vippman family had worked as librarians at the château for many years prior to The War, and photo albums of the staff including my own grandmother, Æris in her youth adorned with white lilies in her hair spinning in the many gardens and in another holding a clearly mauling-ready macaque removed from the Postmodern Primate Enclosure (although emerging unharmed after intervention by the Baron's mother, Guernica), contributed to the sentimental tone of some of the music presented here.
The Appleseed family is the only link to the world of the non-decadent and non-hereditary here, the 'commoner' element, the going to the people, a going to the free-flying, 'indigenous' Québécois, as Stimmona's mother, Shannona&on&on (sic! this is what is her on birth certificate! the intended pronunciation is Shannona-and-on-and-on-a-, with a stopping point of the speaker's liking), was the primary organizer of the Bloc Québécois coup of July 8th, 1922 AD (a year prior to now, also the Baron's birthday). There were concerns of mass aristocratic property seizure due to more radical elements within the junta (with talks of this amongst the von de Blue family, much panic arising, beginning from the first 5 minutes of the Baron's wakefulness on his birthday, and tension dawned over the still-lavish celebration with the twenty-layered lepidopteric cake, with each butterfly of now-Free Québéc, known prior as the Provinces, represented) however the Château Ætherist was declared fit to be kept by its historical owners, citing active occupation and maintenance. The first recording to appear on this album you hear being prior to the dinner party most of this record is sourced from, as Stimmona was invited to the inspection with her mother, and your faithful narrator was the designated bodyguard. While it may appear that I am indeed rude to my dear friend, please let it be understood that in that moment the fate of this very record was being decided, at that moment unknowingly.
Old Æris Vippman died on July 24th, 1922, from stress related to the decision, having not lived by ten minutes to see inspection day complete (a hectic 16 days!), still being alive when I exited the car, all hugs and kisses, 'how have you been, grandmother?', 'good luck' and 'I sampled those tomes you wanted me to see in the library', found without a heartbeat in the garden, many minutes too late, the time later revealed in the coroners' report, owing to unfortunate distractions such as the junta's resident perfectionists' interest in small chips in the stone walls, and approximation of the ages of the cracks. The nostalgic and indeed deceptive nature of Ætherist Void is in loving memory of Æris Vippman (1822-1922, having not lived to see her own centennial).
This should cover all that is needed to be known at this point in time, and I shall not bore you with any more details that may potentially influence how you choose to listen to the music contained within.

It doesn't matter how many times I listen to Lonely nights, it never, ever gets old. To say nothing of the rest of the album, either. Every song I keep coming back to for more. MoonMoon
